The advantages of acrylic adhesive toughness and flexibility

When toughness, impact resistance and fatigue resistance, flexibility and fast bonding are required, acrylic adhesives and tapes are one of the leading bonding technologies for multi-material bonding.

When two high-speed trains intersect at a speed of 300 km/h, whether in a tunnel or on an open track, all parts will be deformed by air pressure and suction. Safety and passenger comfort are affected by the forces that require a robust and durable assembly design. Acrylic adhesives and acrylic foam tapes play an important role in stress absorption and dissipation. The new generation of 3M structural acrylic adhesives (such as DP8407NS) provide long-term stress cycle resistance when bonding inserts, metal and composite parts, and the enhanced formulation has excellent resilience and toughness.

3M VHB Acrylic Foam Tape and 3M Dual Lock Recloseable Fasteners help to make durable wall panels, window frame covers and ceiling internal components, which have better aesthetics and vibration damping than other connection methods. In floor modules, 3M VHB tape is used to bond floor coverings, including carpets, to the floor. When operators and manufacturers expect more than 10 years of durability, it provides excellent pedaling comfort and strong adhesion. Good-especially in high-traffic areas. Compared to other floor covering assembly methods, they also allow for easy replacement of damaged floor coverings. The durability, excellent mechanical strength and flexural strength of epoxy adhesives

Epoxy adhesives have chemical resistance, corrosion resistance and moisture resistance. They are also one of the strongest adhesive series when structural panels such as floors or doors need to resist mechanical and bending stress. The floors and doors of high-speed trains may be subject to constant vibration, twisting, and bounce pressure. 3M epoxy adhesive SW7240B/A FR is an example of advanced epoxy technology, which has been successfully used in the rail industry for more than 20 years. This reinforced epoxy resin formula and its high modulus make the components of different materials durable over the life of the rail car, aiming to maintain the resistance of the structural panel through years of arduous use.

2K epoxy adhesive exhibits first-class performance in floor manufacturing, providing the highest bending resistance, thinner panel design and long-term resistance. Compared with plywood, honeycomb and sandwich laminate flooring bonded with 3M SW7240B/A FR epoxy resin has significant weight reduction advantages and different advantages such as extended durability, recyclability and insulation properties.
